1. BACKGROUND / 背景

As a subsidiary of the Asian flavours & fragrances conglomerate, HUABAO International Holding Limited (Publicly Listed at Hong Kong Stock Exchange, stock code 00336), F&G Botswana (Pty) Ltd. was incorporated in 2007. It imports raw materials from countries including ZIM, USA, Brazil and South Africa, extracts and then exports 100% of its finished product (flavours and fragrances).

作为亚洲香精香料集团华宝国际控股有限公司(在香港证券交易所上市,股票代码00336)的子公司,F&G博茨瓦纳有限公司于2007年成立。公司从包括津巴布韦、美国、巴西和南非在内的国家进口原材料,进行提取后,将100%的成品(香精香料)出口。

F&G has taken the mutual growth of the company and employees as one of the most important goals and attaches great importance to creating opportunities for our employees to acquire different skills, such as welding, forklift driving, boiler operation & maintenance, electrical and mechanical skills, and play important roles in various management levels.

3. CONTRIBUTIONS & WELFARE / 贡献与福利

The company does its best to stimulate local economy and reduce local unemployment. We hold Annual Year-End Staff Dinner where the top achievers/Excellent Staffs are rewarded. We organize football games frequently with local teams, e.g. Standard Chartered Bank Team and Immigration Team, to encourage good interpersonal relationships among employees. The management and supervisors go out for barbecue and other activities from time to time to refresh and share ideas on how to improve the management. We also hold sport events such as 5-kilometer footrace run to improve the health awareness of all employees.

4. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / 社会责任

As a 100% foreign invested company, F&G has set a good example in following local ACTs and Regulations as well as taking social responsibilities. The company has created and maintained a good relationship with BURS, CUSTOMS, BANKS, BITC, LABOUR and other Departments. We invite medical specialists to come to our workplace and educate our employees on the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS periodically. To increase safety awareness, fire-fighting lectures and drills conducted by the City Council Fire Department Officers are given to all employees every year.
